Yeo Valley set to roll out ‘Warehouse Game-Changer’

Harland Simon has recently implemented its Warehouse Insight system in one of Yeo Valley’s warehouses in Somerset in order to provide new KPIs for the company and a new understanding of how the warehouse operates. The warehouse itself is a 40,000 sq ft chilled distribution centre for many of Yeo Valley’s dairy products which are supplied under their own name and for a number of leading supermarket chains.

British Lead at Welwyn Garden City has decided to upgrade the drives and controls on the Davy McKee lead rolling line and has selected Harland Simon’s upgrade solution. This will provide new drive controls for the main mill drive and controls for the rotary shear and pinch roll assembly.

David Ward the Operations Manager at British Lead said “We have a long, happy relationship with Harland Simon and so it was a natural decision to ask Harland Simon to provide the new drive and control systems."

Harland Simon to upgrade manroland Geoman press controls at Newsquest Hampshire & Dorset

Harland Simon PLC has been selected by Newsquest as partners to upgrade the press control system at its Southampton site.  Major elements of the existing press control system are no longer available, including PCs, desk screens and PLCs.  Harland Simon will provide a 'non-proprietary' solution so that Newsquest has a fully supportable system for the foreseeable future and is not dependant on a single supplier for most of the press control components.

Harland Simon is delighted to announce that the Des Moines Register, one of Gannett’s largest newspapers, has selected Harland Simon to replace the press control systems on its three manroland Geoman presses.
The contract includes replacement of the upper level management system, control consoles, on unit hardware, reelstand controls and parts of the Baumuller drive system.
