Dayton Daily
News place order for PRIMA Esprit and Colorware
September
2007
Harland Simon has
secured an order from The Dayton Daily News, OH for its auto
impositioning and color advisory software PRIMA Esprit and
PRIMA Colorware, they are now working to interface the
systems to DTI’s workflow software to further automate and
streamline the process of page booking and layout
definition. This will be the second Cox Newspapers site to
install the systems in the last 12 months, following on from
the successful implementation at the Austin American
Statesman, TX.
PRIMA
Colorware will provide information on the availability of color
and job difficulty across Dayton’s 3 KBA presses. Once a product
is defined it is seamlessly transferred to Esprit, which
automatically calculates the best imposition based the
production crews preferred operating procedures.
The project
is expected to be running live by December 2007.
