Harland Simon and TXT Polymedia launch Content Management
System.
16th June 2006
Having successfully launched the PRIMA Forecast solution in the
demanding world of newspapers, Harland Simon, world leaders in
control systems and TXT, world leaders in supply chain
management, are pleased to announce another successful
partnership - This time in the field of content management for
multi-media businesses.
The new Polymedia Content Management System, enables a high level of
both freedom and flexibility when managing the entire lifecycle
of content for over an impressive 50 portals and websites.
This new system is currently in place at the Guardian Media Group Plc,
UK’s leading multi-media firm and publishers of national and
regional titles such as The Guardian, The Observer, The
Manchester Evening News and the Auto Trader series.
With over 50 regional titles and 50 websites, including ManchesterOnLine,
the UK’s largest regional press website outside of London, GMG
selected TXT Polymedia for this critical project based on their
extensive experience, proven success rates, short time to
market, unique management vision and fantastic value for money.
Benefits of the system range from complete in or out-house management
and seamless integration with existing editorial systems; to
efficient management independent of presentation method,
multi-media publishing without additional human interaction; and
full automation in creation and management of websites and
portals.
Operations Director Mark Laverty confirms his satisfaction; “We feel
fortunate to have had the opportunity to use TXT’s suite of
products throughout the development of our online portfolio. The
rapid development times, flexibility, speed and robustness of
Polymedia has been of major benefit to our business. The level
of expertise offered by the team in Milan is of highest calibre
from top to bottom”.
