Successful
RFID Tag tests by Harland Simon

Harland Simon have successfully
concluded the latest phase of their semi active RFID tags.
This phase was carried out at a large regional newspaper printing
facility and solved the issues around the warehouse and the
reelstands.
Initial problems associated
with distances involved in the warehouse were overcome by
adjusting the tag mounting. A Harland Simon spokesperson said
“we are very pleased with
these latest results and we are now moving to full scale supply
chain trails from mill to consumption”.
Harland Simon expects the
next phase of tests to be completed by the middle of November.
The spokesperson also said “a number of other trials are underway
with paper manufacturers and further tests are also planned
with regional and national publishers at the end of the year”.
