Adjustments affecting copy quality that require rapid response, such as ink adjustment, are provided by controls around the central laydown area. The simple touch screen is used for less time-critical functions such as calling an imposition from the management system.

A control desk can be used by a single operator or, with the option of a second screen, a pair of operators. A second screen can also be used for soft-proofing. Especially useful is that if there is more than one folder in a press line, any console can be used to control any folder.
