Clear overview of the availability
of plate data
Enables RIP queues to be
prioritized for optimal plate making
The Plate Tracking module provides
a graphical overview of which pages have been RIPped and are
now ready for making plates for each edition.

The red page numbers highlight
the pages for which data has not yet been received.
An overview showing the progress
of every edition in terms of percentage of plates processed
is also available.

The data provided
enables jobs to be re-queued on the RIPs if start time is
approaching and yet there are still plates that have not been
received. It also indicates whether an edition has all of
its preset data available.
Presetting
Reduces start-up waste by
setting ink, dampener and compensation before the run starts
Raw data is automatically
tuned to provide optimal waste reduction
The aim of the
Presetting module and its associated algorithms is to reduce
the number of waste copies at start-up that can be attributed
to ink, dampener and register settings. By setting the press
up to pre-determined values before the press starts to run,
the waste produced before the press goes into good copy can
be greatly reduced.
Waste copies
at start-up occur whilst the press crew try to get the pages
into register and whilst the colour of the product is unacceptable.
The presetting algorithms tackle these issues by storing register
and compensator values for each imposition on each press and
by taking ink density values from an image scanning device
in order to preset ink and dampener.
As well as the
numerous factors and offsets which can be set up by the user
to take account of almost everything which may affect the
ink values, the system itself incorporates a self-learning
algorithm called Adaptive Control that can automatically make
adjustments for each ink zone, based on previous performance.
During or after
production the scanned, preset and hot values for a selected
job can be readily displayed by the user to check the accuracy
of the complete presetting system.
