The PRIMA RIPSet and Screen Proofing system takes the guesswork out of the printing process by providing accurate and repeatable raw data for Ink Presetting, giving a clear, concise Plate Tracking overview, instantly providing on-screen content and color proofs.

The RIP network receives completed pages and RIPs them into their constituent CMYK plates.

The data for each plate is then sent to the RIPSet server which uses the information to preset the presses; provide a Plate Tracking overview and offer on-screen colour and content proofs.

PRIMA RIPSet interfaces directly with the front-end RIP network to derive accurate preset values for presetting of the inking system on the press. As more and more newspaper publishers achieve the objective of full digital page make- up, RIPSet provides the most efficient and accurate method of providing density values for the press presetting system.

Screen Proofing
Using the same data files from the RIPs, RIPSet is also able to provide a Plate Tracking overview and, optionally, on-screen content and colour proofing.
